HUDSON — Fifth Ward residents will have an opportunity to address their representatives at a town hall-style meeting next week.
Fifth Ward Aldermen Eileen Halloran and Dominic Merante are holding “A Conversation with Your Aldermen” at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the community room at Crosswinds, 15 Rogers Lane.
The meeting is for residents of the 5th Ward, which extends north to Harry Howard Avenue, south to Green Street, west to Washington Street and east to Fairview Avenue.
“This meeting will give us an opportunity to talk to residents, answer questions and hear concerns,” Merante said.
Merante chairs the Fire Committee and is a member of the police, youth, education and seniors and recreation committees, and the Department of Public Works and Parks and housing and transportation committees.
Halloran is the minority leader of the Common Council. She chairs the Department of Public Works Committee and the Industrial Development Agency. She is a member of the Hudson Community Development & Planning Agency, and the Finance and Economic Development committees of the Common Council.
Halloran recently formed a subcommittee of the Department of Public Works Committee which Merante will chair to address traffic and street issues under the state’s Complete Streets program.
