Tito Grenci passed away June 5, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Hilah and his son Seth. He is survived by his son Tod and his wife Susan and daughter Maria, his grandchildren, Luke, Adam and Casey and great Grandchild Jacob (Luke) and Natascha, whom he thought of as another granddaughter.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the 1st Marine division in China. He went on to join the New York State Police in 1953, retiring in 1973. He spent the next twenty-four years as a Sergeant at Arms with the New York State Senate. During his service with the State Police along with his wife Hilah and Joseph and Lynn Strunk he was instrumental in the State Police going from a 126 hour work week to 60 hours. He was proud of his service to God and Country and continued that service when he joined the State Police. His love of God, family and service gave him enjoyment and fulfillment and many friends that he cherished throughout his life. His journey here is now complete and another has begun.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 12 noon at the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Stuyvesant Falls. A calling hour will be Saturday from 10:30 – 11:30 am prior to the Mass at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie. Donations may be made to the New York State Police Trooper’s Foundation (Canine Fund), 3 Airport Park Blvd., Latham, NY or the Community Hospice of Columbia and Greene Counties,310 S.
