Stephen Wayne Barilics, 70 of San Bernardino, CA, formally of Kinderhook, New York passed away on 1/4/19 at St. Bernardine Medical Center, San Bernardino, CA. Steve fought a two year battle with cancer and won, however succumbed to pneumonia.

Survived by two pans, Nathan & Ryan, daughter-in-law Michelle Barilics. Two wonderful grandchildren, Emily and Christopher. Predeceased by his mother Rose Ann Barilics, son of George A. Barilics, and brother to Joann Lindsey, Brenda Amsden, Rosalyn Caparaso and Lorraine Hoagland. Stephen served in the United States Air Force as a SSgt during Vietnam 1967-1971. After leaving the Air Force he settled in San Bernardino, CA and joined the San Bernardino Police Department, retired after 36 years of service as a Detective.

After retiring he was very involved in the American Legion Post 421 and 777 of San Bernardino. In lieu of flowers you may make a contribution in Steve’s memory to the American Legion, 28309 Highland Avenue, Highland, CA 92346, or the American Cancer Society, 6355 Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506.

A memorial service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518 on January 18, at 2:30 P.M.
