HUDSON -- S&F Telecommunications advanced to the championship game of the Columbia/Greene Little League Minor Division with an 8-6 victory over National Bank of Coxsackie on Tuesday.
The Bankers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Rich Perino walked, stole second, took third on a passed ball and scored on a wild pitch.
S&F answered with two in its half of the first, both runs coming after two were out. Tyler Sheldon got things started by drawing a walk, Gannon Logue followed with a triple to right-center field and Matt Plaia came through with a single, plating Logue.
S&F broke the game open with six more runs in the second inning. Connor Bryant had an RBI single, Sean Egan walked with the bases loaded Sheldon stroked a two-run single and Logue belted a two-run double to make it 8-1.
National Bank of Coxsackie began to chip away in the third with two runs. Caleb Slater walked, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on an infield error. Joe Perino singled and Faria ripped a run-scoring triple to cut the deficit to 8-3.
The Bank added two more runs in the fourth after two were out on four straight walks and a hit batter with the bases loaded. They added one more in the fifth when Rich Perino walked, stole second and third and scored on Faria's fielder's choice.
Logue tripled, doubled and drove in three runs for S&F. Sheldon had a a single and two RBI, Plaia and Bryant a single and an RBI each and Egan had an RBI.

Egan (6k,6bb,4r,3h), Kameron Duntz (2k,4bb,2r) and Logue (5k,1bb) all had a turn on the mound for S&F.
Rich Perino (1k,2bb,2r,2h), Faria (1k,3bb,6r,3h) and Joe Perino (6k) shared mound duties for National Bank of Coxsackie.
S&F plays Taconic Hills for the league title on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. in Hudson.
