Ghent Chatham Seniors Maine Trip

GHENT — The Ghent Chatham Seniors group is sponsoring a 4 day, 3 night tour to Maine from June 17-20. Trip includes 3 nights lodging, tours, lobster bake and much more. For information, call Milly Hogencamp at 518-392-3261.

Balance and Stretch Class

COPAKE — A senior balance and stretch class is held 9-10 a.m. Thursdays at the Roe Jan Community Library, 9091 Route 22, Copake. All levels are welcome and there is no charge. For information, call 518-325-4101; http://www.roejanlibrary.org: https://www.facebook.com/roejanlibrary.

Lebanon Valley Senior Citizens

NEW LEBANON — The Lebanon Valley Senior Citizens club meets the first and third Friday of every month at the New Lebanon Town Hall, 14755 Route 22, New Lebanon. Annual fee is $10 (free to those over 80). Activities include trips, holiday lunches at local restaurants, a barbecue and covered dish events, bingo and more. Open to all 55 and older. The next trip is a cruise on the Connecticut River on May 23 with lunch at the Boathouse Restaurant. Cost is $66. Payment due by May 9. Contact Mary DeFreest at 518-733-0009 if interested.

Lebanon Valley Senior Citizens club is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive 1-6 p.m. April 23 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 732 Route 20, New Lebanon. NEW LEBANON — The Lebanon Valley Seniors announce the following trips for 2019. Payments for all trips should be sent/given to Mary Defreest, 334 West Road, Stephentown, NY 12168 by the dates specified. For information, call Mary at 518-733-0009.

May 23: Connecticut River Cruise. Luncheon at Boathouse Restaurant overlooking river, $66. Menu includes lobster, clam chowder or prime rib, baked potato, corn on the cob, rolls, dessert, strawberry sundae, coffee, tea. Reservations limited to 48 people, so sign up immediately. Payment due by May 9. Bus leaves Stephentown at 8 a.m.; New Lebanon at 8:15 a.m.

July 16: Log Cabin Lobster Feast, $56. Entertainment by Riverside Ramblers. Menu includes lobster, chicken, ribs, baked potato, vegetable, salad, coffee, tea. Leave Stephentown 9 a.m.; New Lebanon 9:15 a.m. Payment by July 5.

Aug. 5 through Aug. 7: Amish Country, 3 days, 2 nights. Kettle Kitchen; Sight & Sound showing “Jesus”; lunch in Amish farmhouse; farmers market; Bird-in-Hand. Payment due by July 19. Bus leaves Stephentown at 7 a.m.; New Lebanon at 7:15 a.m. on Aug. 5. Price is $369 doubles.

Claverack Seniors

CLAVERACK —The Claverack Seniors announce the following trips. May 21, Log Cabin, Holyoke, Mass., dinner and Kings and Queens of Country Music Program, $55. June 12, 9/11 Memorial and Museum, NYC, dinner on own at Horizon Diner, $45. July 16, Whale Watch, Plymouth, Mass., dinner on own, $30. Aug. 14, Saratoga Raceway, $25, Casino only, $10. Sept. 18, Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, Conn., Mystic Diner on own, $62. Oct. 9, Delaware/Ulster Railroad luncheon train, $55.

Non-members pay and additional $10 for trips. Pickups will be made at the former Town Highway Garage on Route 217 and at the ABShaw Firehouse on Route 23. Payment is due a month before trip date. For information or to sign up call Debbie Grau, Trip Director, at 518-610-1766.

Hudson Senior Center

HUDSON — The Hudson Senior Center meets at the Hudson Area Library, second floor, 51 North Fifth St., Hudson. For information, call 518-828-3200. Lunch is served at noon Monday through Friday.

MONDAY: 8:45-9:45 a.m. gentle stretch yoga, $2; 10-11 a.m. aerobics, $2.

TUESDAY: 10:45 a.m.-noon yoga; 10 a.m. bingo or 10:30 a.m. pokeno; 5:30-6:30 p.m. beginning Spanish; 6:30-7:30 p.m. intermediate Spanish.

WEDNESDAY: 8:45-9:45 a.m. gentle stretch yoga, $2; 10-11 a.m. aerobics, $2; 1-4 p.m. Still Life Into Life Painting with Dan Rupe, $10 includes supplies

THURSDAY: 10:45 a.m.-noon yoga; 10 a.m. bingo or 10:30 a.m. pokeno.

FRIDAY: 10-11 a.m. aerobics, $2.

SATURDAY: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Core Strength & Balance with Paul Spector in the first floor community room.

Story Hour

PHILMONT — The Philmont Public Library hosts “The Grands and the Littles” Story Hour at 3:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month at the Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 201 Main St., Philmont. Bring a kid for reading, music, crafts, and finger play. For information, call 518-672-5010.
