Scott Andrew Kowalski, age 45, of Stuyvesant, NY, passed away on January 11, 2018. Scott is survived by his devoted and loving mother, Phyllis Darrah Scheriff, his stepfather Jack Scheriff, his father, John Kowalski, stepmother Shannon Kowalski, his wife of 21 years Kammie Kowalski (Eitleman), his two sons, Scott, age 21, and Jonathan, age 19, stepdaughter Danelle Rossi-Wolfe, his sister Andrea (Michael) Coon, brothers Michael (Randi) Kowalski and Bray Kowalski, stepbrothers Brian and Kevin Scheriff, nieces Darrah, Madison and Taylor, nephews Lyle and Ethan, and grandmother Gladys Kowalski. He is predeceased by his grandparents John Kowalski Sr. and Betty and Roy Darrah. Scott was born in Hudson, NY on January 11, 1973 to John W. Kowaski Jr, and Phyllis Darrah Scheriff. He grew up on the family dairy farm and forever kept the dream alive that he was a farmer at heart and would some day return to his roots. He was married and had two sons who he was able to see grow into strong, capable young men who he was so very proud of. Scott will be remembered for his beautiful free spirit, his love of family, his love of the river and of wide open spaces, his likeability, charm and handsome face. He liked hunting and fishing, good bonfires, going fast, living in the moment, his tattoos and tie-dyes, dead music, a little mischief, and to be happy. He is loved and will be missed by many. January 11th will always be remembered. May we all have the peace of knowing his guardian angels are now taking care of him in Heaven instead of on Earth. Memorial service will be held privately for his family. Visitation will be open to his friends and family at Bond’s Funeral Home on Monday, January 15, 5-7pm.
