RHINEBECK — Admission, carnival rides and Grandstand concert tickets are all available online for the 2017 Dutchess County Fair at www.dutchessfair.com. Advance discount tickets will go on sale throughout the region at numerous locations through Aug. 20. The 172nd Dutchess County Fair starts its six-day run on Aug. 22.
Adult admission tickets are sold in advance for $12 ($15 at the gate). Ten ride tickets are sold for $20. This pre-sale of ride tickets offers over a 50% savings from regularly priced ride tickets.
Advance tickets for both admission and rides are available at the following locations:
ACME in Brewster, Hopewell Jct., Patterson and Pleasant Valley, Adams Fairacre Farms in Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Kingston, and Wappingers Falls; Blue Seal Feeds in Fishkill; DeCicco’s in Brewster; Food Town in Cold Spring; Fresh Town (Food Town) in Amenia; G.E Masten in Pleasant Valley; Hackett Farm Supply in Salt Point; Macs Farm and Garden in Red Hook and New Paltz; Pine Plains Emporium; Price Chopper in Catskill, Hudson, Saugerties, Poughkeepsie, Stop and Shop in Hyde Park, Hopewell Jct., Poughkeepsie (Burnett Blvd), Poughkeepsie (South Rd); Tops in Carmel, Lagrangeville, New Paltz, Rhinebeck; Utter Brothers, Pawling and Williams Lumber, Hyde Park, Pleasant Valley, Red Hook and Rhinebeck.
Rhinebeck Bank will be selling Admission tickets only in Hyde Park, Mid-Hudson, South Road, Poughkeepsie, Red Hook and Rhinebeck locations.
Admission, rides and a $50 six day pass can also be purchased at the Fairgrounds Office in Rhinebeck.
Buying advance tickets for the Grandstand shows not only provides a significant savings but also guarantees your admission to the performance. The 2017 concert lineup includes: multiplatinum rock band 3 Doors Down on Tuesday, August 22 at 7:30pm. An advance combination ticket that includes both admission to the fair and the concert is available for $35 ($40 day of the show). On Wednesday, August 23, Brothers Osborne performs at 7:30pm. Advance tickets are $32 ($37 day of show). The Marshall Tucker Band appears on Thursday August 24 at 7:30pm. All seats are free with paid admission to the fair. Old Crow Medicine Show appears on Friday, August 25 at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for $32 ($37 day of the show).
Featured on Friday noon and 4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at noon and 4:30 p.m. is the Dutchess County Sheriff’s K9 demonstrations. This is free of charge to fairgoers.
Saturday and Sunday’s thrill show of Action Sports Extreme is just $5 for adults and children 5 years and under are free. Performances are at 2 and 6 p.m.
Special promotions will entitle fairgoers to an adult admission of $10 on Tuesday. On Thursday after 5 p.m. adult admission is $7. On Sunday, the last day of the fair, admission is buy one $15 admission, get one half off.
