It didn’t take long for Josh Keyes to find a new home in the NFL.
Less than a week after being released by the Houston Texans, the Chatham High School graduate was signed by the Washington Redskins on Wednesday.
Washington’s Byron Marshall was placed in the Injured Reserved list, making room for the team to ink Keyes.
During the preseason, Keyes played the most snaps out of any Houston defensive player — 190 total — and recorded 23 tackles.
In Washington, Keyes will join a linebacker corps anchored by seven-year pro Zach Smith and eight-year pros Mason Foster and Ryan Kerrigan.
The Redskins are the seventh team that Keyes has suited up for after stints with Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Kansas City, Cleveland, Los Angeles (Chargers) and Houston.
In his three years playing in the NFL, the 25 year old has registered 14 tackles.
