NEW PALTZ — Murder Café was launched in 1998 by Hudson Valley residents Frank and Kristen Marquette with a “noir” mystery set in the 1940s. After producing and performing over 1000 shows for private, public and fundraising events, Murder Café ends their 2018 summer season with an original play, Murder at the High School Reunion. Playwright and producer, Frank Marquette, explains his production:

“It’s the 30th reunion of Weed High and the attendees are the usual suspects: a jock who lost the girl, the class president who lost his office, the prom queen who settled for less, a science nerd who has the wrong formula, the actor who has multiple personalities – all presided over by reunion organizer and former teacher, Miss Markle. Everyone can relate to one of these characters, they’re timeless. Along the way a murder occurs in a show that includes music, comedy and audience interaction.”

Murder at the High School Reunion comes to Unison Arts Center in New Paltz for one performance on Saturday, September 8th at 7 pm. The evening will include a buffet dinner, desserts and the professional show. The cost is $45 per person, $40 for seniors and $35 for members. Reservations are a must and can be made by calling 845-255-1559 and tickets can be purchased by visiting www.unisonarts.org.
