LOCAL ROUNDUP: Clippers earn share of CHVL title

GERMANTOWN -- Bryan Bathrick hit six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points as Germantown defeated New Lebanon, 66-48 Monday to earn a share of the Central Hudson Valley League boys basketball title.

Germantown and Bishop Maginn both finished 11-1 in CHVL play and will now move on to sectional competition.

The Clippers bolted to a 13-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and were up 29-18 at haftime and 46-26 after three.

Robbie Eaton followed Bathrick in scoring for Germantown with 16 points. Dan Kellenbenz contributed 15.

Clayton Erickson led the Tigers with 24 points. Cole Erickson chipped in with 13.

GERMANTOWN (66): A. Kellenbenz 1-0-2, Eaton 5-2-16, Mayr 2-0-6, Decker 0-3-3, Bathrick 7-0-20, Rifenburgh 0-2-2, Anderson 0-2-2, D. Kellenbenz 6-2-15. Totals 21-11-53.

NON-LEAGUE

Coxsackie-Athens 79, Ravena 34

COXSACKIE -- Tyler Oravsky’s 22 points led Coxsackie-Athens to a 79-33 victory over Ravena in Monday’s non-league boys basketball game.

The Indians jumped out to an 18-8 lead through one quarter of action and never looked back, widening the gap to 41-16 at halftime and 65-26 after three quarters.

Gil Bell and Killian Schrader each had 16 for C-A.

RAVENA (33): Bianchino 1-1-3, Cronin 1-0-3, McClellan 4-0-12, Reif 0-3-3, Ruoff 1-1-4, Waddington 3-1-9. Totals 10-6-34.

PATROON VOLLEYBALL

Hudson 3, Taconic Hills 0

CRARYVILLE -- Hudson posted a 3-0 victory over Taconic Hills in Monday’s Patroon Conference volleyball match.

The Bluehawks won by scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-13 to improve to 12-3.

Top scorers for Hudson were Corey Topple with 26 points ( 19 kills, 4 service points and 3 blocks), Charles Goodermote 25 points ( 23 kills, 2 service points) and Emmett Fairbairn 12 points; (5 kills, 7 service points). 

Hudson hosts Coxsackie-Athens on Senior Night, Wednesday at 6 p.m.
