April 16, 2019 11:49 am

HUDSON — Literacy Connections is looking for people who want to share the gift of reading and writing in the English language with an adult learner. New volunteers are required to attend a free orientation session, after which they will complete the online training module, which can be adapted to fit most schedules.

The next orientation session will be held 10 a.m.-noon April 23 at the Hudson Area Library, 51 North Fifth St., Hudson. The follow-up session is scheduled May 21 at the same time and location. Learn about the difference between Basic Reading and teaching English as a Second Language at the orientation session and receive login information to begin the online tutor training module.

Sign up for the Tutor Training by email to colgreene@literacyconnections.org or by calling 518-828-1792 ext 104. Provide name, email address, phone number and area where you would like to volunteer when registering.
