Lawrence Anthony Marrish, age 84 years, of Ancramdale, N.Y. died on July 31,2019 in Hudson, N.Y. Mr. Marrish was born on October 15, 1934, in Irvington, New Jersey and is the son of the late Anthony and Olga Marrish.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his son Lawrence Anthony Marrish II. Survivors include his loving wife Linda Marrish, three children Eric and his wife Savannah, Marc and his wife Joanne and Andrea and her husband John, five grandchildren Matthew, Samantha, Michael, Amanda and CJ, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife’s children Michael, Tonya and Gary. Larry attended Hudson High School in Hudson, N.Y. and continued his education at Oswego State Teachers’ College, and he graduated with a degree in Industrial Arts. Larry taught Industrial Arts for the Hudson City School District upon graduating until he founded Nightwatch Lamp Company in his early 30s. As a master craftsman for most of his life, Larry designed custom–made lamps that were well known throughout the country. For the past 20 years, he and his wife Linda met many lifelong friends at The Hearthstone Inn, the Hillsdale Country Diner, and The Pond Restaurant.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. at The Pond Restaurant, 711 County Route 3, Ancramdale, N.Y. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
