Journeyman linebacker Josh Keyes has been waived by the Washington Redskins, spending a week with the team.
The Redskins originally needed depth at the linebacker position, but waived Keyes when their needs changed. Washington signed wide receiver Brian Quick after fellow receiver Cam Sims was placed on injured reserved.
With the NFL season only entering week two, there is a strong chance that Keyes signs on to another team that is in need of defensive depth in the middle.
The former Chatham High School standout has now played with seven teams in four years.
