COXSACKIE - John E. Yowell, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Albany Medical Center.

He was born on May 29, 1937 in Brooklyn to the late John and Mary Yowell. John was a parishioner of

St, John the Baptist Church in Greenville, and served as an usher, Eucharistic Minister and altar server

until January 2018 when he became a member of St. Mary’s Church in Coxsackie. He was also a member of the Our Lady of Knock Council of the Knights of Columbus and more recently the Knights of Columbus Council in Coxsackie.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Joan Gralton.

John is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his daughter, Donna Murphy (George Murphy), his sister, Mary Jo Carroll,

his brother-in-law, Thomas Gralton, his sister-in-law, Rita O’Brien, and her husband, Martin, and his sister-in-law, Irene Russo, and his many nephews and nieces, and dear family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, N.Y.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, 80 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, N.Y.
