Head-on collision sends three to Albany Med

LIVINGSTON — Three people were injured after a two-car head-on collision on Route 9G on Monday morning, a state police spokesman said.

The crash happened near Oak Hill Road at about 9:45 a.m., state police spokesman Trooper Aaron Hicks said.

Three people were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment of various injuries, Hicks said. One person is in critical condition, he said.

Hicks did not know the identity of the drivers and passengers, or the extent of their injuries.

The state police accident reconstruction team closed the road from 9:45 a.m. to around 1 p.m. to investigate the cause of the crash. The investigation continued through the afternoon, Hicks said.

Livingston firefighters and Northern Dutchess Paramedics responded.
