Germantown volleyball downs Greenville

GREENVILLE — Germantown overcame a loss in the second game to defeat Greenville, 3-1, in Wednesday’s Patroon Conference boys volleyball match.

After winning the opening game, 25-21, Germantown dropped the second, 25-18. The Clippers regrouped, though and took the next two to win the match, 225-23 and 25-21.

Jeremy Cosenza had 6 kills, 15 assists, 2 aces, 1 dig and 1 block for Germantown (2-0). Riley Griffin added 13 kills, 1 assist, 4 aces, 1 block and 3 digs; Anthony Smith 1 kill and 2 blocks; Chris Diamanti 7 kills, 6 assists, 1 ace; Nick Comesanas 2 kills, 1 ace and 2 digs; Laimis Shinozaki 1 ace and 1 dig and Charles Scalia 1 kill, 1 ssist, 2 aces and 3 digs.

Chaystin Peters had 2 kills and 10 service points for Greenville (2-2). Garrett DeLong contributed 2 kills and 8 service points and VJ Gardner had 1 kill, 3 assists and 9 service points.

Germantown goes to Taconic Hills and Greenville visits Chatham on Monday at 6 p.m.

Hudson 3, Cobleskill 1

COBLESKILL — Hudson remained unbeaten in Patroon Conference boys volleyball with a 3-1 victory over Cobleskill-Richmondville on Wednesday.

The Bluehawks (3-0) dropped the first game, 26-21, but fought back to sweep the next three, 25-16, 25-16 and 28-26.

Charles Goodermote paced Hudson with 34 points (24 kills, 7 service points, 3 block points). Corey Topple had 27 points (20 kills, 3 service points, 4 block points), Emmett Fairbairn 17 points (5 kills, 10 service points, 2 blocks) and Bryant Barrientos 13 points (8 kills, 5 service points).

Hudson plays host to Greenville on December 17.

Ichabod Crane 3, New Lebanon 0

VALATIE — Ichabod Crane got back on the winning track with a 3-0 victory over New Lebanon in Wednesday’s Patroon Cnference boys volleyball action.

The Riders (2-2) posted winning scores of 25-9, 25-13 and 25-6.

Jared Cook had 6 aces and 5 assists for ICC. Trevor Wolfe had 5 assists, 2 kills and 1 dig; Harrison Puckett 9 assists, 2 kills and 2 aces; Jake Siter 4 aces, 4 kills and 2 digs; Dean Warner 4 kills and 1 block; Jim Konderwich 4 kills; Donte Nortrup 6 aces, 3 digs and 2 kills and JanKarl Galia 1 ace and 1 dig.

Ichabod Crane hosts Cobleskill-Richmondville on Monday at 6 p.m.
