Germantown Garden Club recognized for work

Culminating a year of work, the Germantown Garden Club was recognized by receiving a total of 8 awards were presented at the District Three Fall Conference of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc. at the Best Western in Kingston. There are three levels of awards, the District, the State and Nationally. Included are the following from District Three: a Citation for Publicity ‘Newsletter’ and a first place for the 2019 Yearbook themed ‘The Wonderful World of Gardening.’ Five were from the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc.; 2018 State Club Recognition Award, a state Citation for their contributions to the National Garden Club’s World Gardening project. For their 2018 90th Standard Flower Show ‘Let’s Celebrate’ and a third place for the flower show schedule and a first place for the Press Book Award. From National Garden Clubs a purple ribbon and citation for the 2018 Standard Flower Show ‘Let’s Celebrate.’ The Germantown Garden Club will soon begin planning the programs for 2020 which once again include a Standard Flower Show.
