George E. Stupplebeen Jr.

George E. Stupplebeen Jr., of Hudson passed away on August 31, 2018, one day after his 87th birthday. Born in Chatham, NY, he is the son of George E. and Frances (Leible) Stupplebeen.

George was a machinist at the Columbia Boxboard Co. in Chatham. He loved to watch the New York Yankees, travel, and bowl in the Friday Night League. He was a Life Member of Ocean Fire Co. #1 in Chatham, and served as treasurer of the Sons and Daughters of Italy. George also had a Juke Box servicing business. He honorably served In the US Army during the Korean War.

George is survived by two sisters, Mabel Keever of Iowa, and Louise Sitzer of Chatham. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his wife Mary (Porreca) Stupplebeen, and three sisters, Cora Ingham-Jennings, Emma Patterson, and Marjie Holmes.

Funeral services are Wednesday September 5, at 2:00pm from the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. Visitation from 12:00pm-2:00pm will precede the funeral service. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.
