Protecting New York Bats — GHENT — Join us Sunday, August 26 – 7:30 p.m., at Mud Creek (www.facebook.com/MudcreekELC) to learn why bats are so important to our ecosystem and how you can help them thrive. We will also learn about the origins of full moon names including Sturgeon Moon and Grain Moon and experience the full moon as we walk the trail and explore the night life at Mud Creek.
Without the use of flashlights, we will search for bats, moon gaze, and test our own night vision – or lack thereof.
Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District is located at 1024 State Route 66 in Ghent (www.ccswcd.org) and provides educational programs and services to help residents and communities manage and protect the natural resources of Columbia County.
