RAVENA — The Friendship Festival is one of Ravena’s favorite ways to bid a fond farewell to summer.

This year’s festival is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 25, beginning at noon and running until nightfall at 9 p.m. at Mosher Park in the village of Ravena.

There will be free carnival-style rides, face painting, caricature drawings, pony rides, a rock climbing wall, bounce houses and vendors. And at nightfall, everyone will line up for an explosive fireworks show.

There will also be carnival games that can be played for $1.

Admission is free and everyone in the community is invited.
