Franklin Delano June, 86, of Claverack, NY peacefully passed away into heaven on Saturday April 13, 2019 to be with his loving and devoted wife Julia. Frank, as he preferred to be called was born om April 2, 1933 in Stockport, NY to Burton Simon and Myrtle Eva (Taylor) June. He lived his early and teenage years in Stockport before eventually relocating to Hudson. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1953, where he earned his High School diploma, and went on to a lengthy tour of duty in both Germany and France, and was Honorably Discharged in 1955. Frank was an active member of the Stockport Fire Co. for a number of years in the 1950’s. On December 14, 1962 he married Julia (Duda) June, and shortly thereafter they settled in Claverack, NY, where he resided until his passing. He was employed for over 35 years at the Universal Match Corp. as a master mechanic, and then a printer, where he was extremely active in the I.U.E. Union. Upon the closing of the Match Corp., he was employed by the Kingston Oil Supply Corporation as an HVAC technician until his retirement in 1997. Mr. June is survived by his two step children James E. DeCrosta of Claverack, NY, and Arlene F. (DeCrosta) and son in law Donald M. Romanchuck of Keeseville, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his beloved and devoted wife Julia June, along with four brothers and five sisters. Visitation hours at the Bates & Anderson Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home are Friday April 19, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:30pm from St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church 59 Partition St. Hudson, NY. Interment with full military honors will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery.
