Elizabeth Agnes Gallagher (Liz), 91 years old, of Cairo, New York passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019. She was born on September 26th, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Agnes (Collins) Price.

She was the loving mother of 7 children, 12 grand children and multiple great grandchildren, she was an excellent seamstress both professionally and at home. She loved being outdoors with her gardening, using all her many tools and mowing her beloved lawn. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of LAOH (Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians).

She was pre-deceased by John Michael Gallagher II (husband), brothers Albert, Richard and Jack Price; son, Terrence Gallagher; Granddaughter Jessica Lee Morris (Baitsholts). She is survived by her children, John M. Gallagher III, Tim Gallagher, Margaret Tirpak (James), Jimmy Gallagher (Vicki), Patrick Gallagher (Sheila) and Stacey Baitsholts (Ronald); her loving sister, Dolores Hayes (Robert) and S-I-L’S Darlene Price, Patricia Gallagher and Joan Gallagher. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, John IV, Lauren, Yvette, Melody, James, Kelly, James, David, Magan, Neil, Glen, Erika as well as multiple great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 from 4–7PM at Richards Funeral Home of the Mid Hudson Valley Inc., 29 Bross St., Cairo, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 11AM, Fr. Steve Matthews officiating, with burial at Cairo Cemetery to immediately follow. A Celebration of Life will take place following the burial at Gallagher’s Banquet Hall, 513 Main Street, Cairo, New York. The family would like to thank Community Hospice of Catskill, Catholic Charities, and Melanie and Lauren for all their help and care.
