Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Beekman Arms

RHINEBECK — You’ve seen Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the Ghosts of Christmas from a theatre seat. This season, why not dine with them? Kick off the Christmas holiday season with song, laughter and nostalgia as actors and carolers bring scenes from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to life. The historic Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck will present this unique dinner show at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and 1 and 5 p.m. Dec. 17. The cost of the dinner and the show is $50.00 per person not including tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 845-876-1766 ext. 356.

This event will feature a sumptuous three course dinner, preceded by a reception with where guests will meet Ebeneezer Scrooge, the Cratchit family including Tiny Tim, Nephew Fred and four carolers in authentic Victorian costume.

This production is a tribute to the spirit of a traditional holiday. Audience members are encouraged to interact with the Dickens’ characters, as they settle in for a fine dinner and evening of celebration. Adapted from Charles Dickens’ classic, the script was written by Frank and Kristen Marquette. This is the 18th season the Marquette’s version of A Christmas Carol is being produced.
