KINDERHOOK — The Kinderhook Village Climate Smart Committee and the Kinderhook Runners Club are teaming up to present the second annual Dash For Trash event to celebrate Earth Day.

A free event will take place on April 20 (rain date April 27) beginning at 10 a.m. Dashers will meet in the Village Square and spend an hour collecting litter and trash within walking, strolling or sprinting distance of the start. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. At the conclusion, bags will be weighed and participants with the most rubbish collected will be awarded prizes.

Last year’s event drew 20 people who collected more than 200 pounds of refuse. For questions or to share your interest in participating, visit
