HUDSON — The Hudson McDonald’s will be holding its fourth annual “Christmas in July” fundraiser 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 22 at its Fairview Avenue location. The proceeds help benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Albany which serves many families from Columbia and Greene Counties.

Bring your children to meet costumed characters “Birdie” and “The Grimace” as well as Santa Claus who will be appearing between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tots the Clown will be entertaining kids and adults alike. There will be face painting and a raffle with many great prizes, including gift cards from Lowes, ShopRite, Furniture Plus, Hairy Solutions Hair Salon, Farrell’s Car Care, plus two day passes to Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Water Park, one Family Portrait session plus 8X10 from Photo-Art by Ken Bovat, dinner and a movie for a family of four, Hoffman’s Car Wash tickets, gift baskets, a bicycle, courtesy of Walmart, a one hour photo flight/or intro to flight lesson from Richmor Aviation, $20 gift certificate to Holmquest and two free oil changes at Speeds Garage. You need not be present to win.

Donations to the Ronald McDonald House will be accepted at the event. Cash or checks will be accepted with checks payable to the Ronald McDonald House of Albany. Pull tabs will be collected, and most importantly, items from the Ronald House Wish list which right now include the following: pillows, waterproof standard pillow protectors, white, vinyl shower curtain liners, 100 percent juice boxes, granola/cereal bars, single serving cereal cups, single serving, microwavable pasta meals, paper towels, toilet paper, swiffer duster refills, dishwashing liquid & dishwasher detergent, Windex Antibacterial Multisurface Spray Cleaner, Antibacterial Hand Soap Pumps, and Disinfectant Wipes. All items must be brand new.

Other items on the wish list include: Amazon, Walmart, Loew’s Home Depot, Gift Cards along with Mobil, Sunoco, or Stewart’s Gas Cards.

These items can be brought to McDonald’s on the day of the event or any other day and time.

Coinciding with this event, Key Bank, Fairview Plaza Branch will hold a baked goods sale along with other items July 20 and July 21 during regular hours. They will also be displaying some of the raffle prizes. All the proceeds from their participation will also go to the the Ronald McDonald House.
