CATSKILL — Village of Catskill police declared a snow emergency beginning Tuesday with the forecast of another winter storm. All vehicles should be parked on the odd side of the street from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday, and then on the even side of village streets from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Vehicles should continue switch sides of the street every 12 hours until the snow emergency is canceled.
Effective today from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m., there will be no parking on Main Street from Summit Avenue to Greene Street so Main Street is one of the first to be cleared of snow.
Any vehicle parked on village streets in violation of the village’s parking law hindering snow removal will be towed at the owner’s expense, Catskill police said. Residents can contact Catskill police at 943-2244 with questions.
