SYRACUSE — For the second consecutive year, Ichabod Crane’s Ama Boham stood atop the podium at the NYSPHSAA Track & Field Meet at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

The junior notched her second Division 2 state championship in the 100-meter hurdles on Saturday, blowing away the field and winning by a full half-second.

Boham finished the race in 14.69 seconds, besting an 8-runner field with Fredonia’s Lydia Lanski (15.15) and Harley ninth grader Ciarra Franz (15.51) rounding out the top three.

In the Championship race, mixing both Divisions 1 and 2, Boham finished sixth with a 15.41 mark. Queens High School’s Sophia Myers ran a 13.96 to win the overall championship.

In the 1,500-meter Championship run, fellow Ichabod Crane Rider, eighth grader Abby Dolge, placed 23rd (14th in Division 2) with a time of 4:54.67.
