HUDSON -- A balanced scoring attack helped Maple Hill remain perfect in Patroon Conference girls basketball with a 53-37 victory over Hudson on Wednesday.

Eight players scored for the Wildcats (10-0, 11-1), led by Jenna Hoffman's 10 points. Lydia Chittenden had eight.

"Pretty good, pretty good," Maple Hill coach Seth Hendrick said of his team's performance. "Rensselaer gave us a real tough game last saturday, I was a little worried about our stamina  and stuff, but you know what to expect from Hudson, they are going to give it their all and they did. I was proud of our performance today.

"We want to take care of the ball a little more and have some better in sync or timing in our offense. Hudson takes you out of your sync a little bit, but I just want to polish, stay in shape and stay healthy and we will be strong at the end."

Deja Beauford led Hudson (8-2, 8-4) with 19 points.

"Defense, that's what we have been relying on for most of the year," Hendrick said. "We don't really have one star, which I think is really good for us. Some people step up each game and every game, today was team defense. That's what it was."

Maple Hill led throughout, posting quarterly leads of 14-10, 28-17 and 42-24.
