Balanced scoring helps ICC boys top Cohoes

VALATIE -- Ichabod Crane had nine players reach the scoring column in Friday's 62-36 Colonial Council boys basketball victory over Cohoes.

Ed Ogden led the Riders with a 17-point performance. Christian Pesano had 13 and Zach Kennedy 11.

Troy Snyder's nine points set the pace for Cohoes.

Ichabod Crane trailed 10-8 after the first eight minutes of action, but went up 25-22 at halftime, then broke the game open with a 20-3 run in the third quarter.

The Riders (3-7, 6-9) visit La Salle on Friday at 6 p.m.

COHOES (36): Milligan 2-0-4, Brajac 2-3-7, Byron 3-0-6, LaSure 1-3-5, Smith 2-0-5, Snyder 1-6-9. Totals 11-12-36.

PATROON CONFERENCE

Coxsackie-Athens 72, Greenville 69

COXSACKIE -- Gil Bell scored 20 points and Coxsackie-Athens came from behind to edge Greenville, 72-69, in Friday's Patroon Conference boys basketball game.

The Indians trailed 18-11 and 30-29 at the end of the first two quarters, but seized a 57-51 lead by the end of the third quarter and held on for the victory.

Killian Schrader followed Bell with 14 points for the Indians. Aiden Boehm had 11.

Damien Fiducia had a big game in a losing cause, hitting six 3-pointers en route to a 34-point performance. James Mitchell added 15 points.

C-A plays a non-league game at Ravena on Tuesday, while Greenville hosts Maple Hill on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Maple Hill 63, Taconic Hills 44

CRARYVILLE -- Nate Mannion's 15 points sparked Maple Hill to a 63-44 victory over Taconic Hills in Friday's Patroon Conference boys basketball game.

Tyler Hanrahan had 12 points as the Wildcats improved to 10-2 in the Patroon and 13-2 overall. Quinn Pratico chipped in with 10.

Devon Charron scored 17 points for Taconic Hills. Kolby Clegg added 11.

Maple Hill built quarterly leads of 18-6, 34-17 and 55-27.

Germantown 81, Loudonville Christian 37

GERMANTOWN -- Brian Bathrick buried six 3-pointers, finishing with 34 points as Germantown remained unbeaten in Central Hudson Valley League boys basketball with an 81-37 victory over Loudonville Christian on Friday.

The Clippers (8-0, 10-4) were up 25-12 after the first quarter, 52-18 at halftime and and 70-25 heading into the final stanza.

Robbie Eaton had 14 points for Germantown. Andrew Kellenbenz chipped in wth 10.

Josiah Westfall led Loudonville Christian with 14 points.

Germantown plays host to Pine Plains in a non-league game n Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
