SAUGERTIES — Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 14th,
2019 at the Saugerties Ballet Center, 10 First Street, Saugerties, New York, for the
Ulster Ballet Company’s upcoming 25th annual production of “A Christmas Carol” on
December 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th at UPAC in Kingston, New York. Students must be 8
years or older to audition and registration begins at 1:00 p.m. for levels A3-C3.
Auditions will be held at 1:30 p.m. Registration begins at 2:15 p.m. for Level D1 and
up and auditions will be held at 2:40 p.m. Rehearsals will be held every weekend at
the Saugerties Ballet Center, beginning September 28th. A $20 audition fee per family
is required, payable in advance, or on audition day, in cash or check made out to:
ULSTER BALLET COMPANY.
Students planning to audition, as well as their parents, should be aware that participating
in an Ulster Ballet Company production requires a considerable commitment of time for
rehearsals and performances.
Attendance to all rehearsals, including those during “tech week” is mandatory.
It is also required that students maintain their technique by attending their dance classes
regularly. Advanced students auditioning for large roles are required to attend at least 3
int/adv to advanced level ballet technique classes, and at least 2 pointe classes per week.
