Allen J. Kligerman, age 54 years, of Cairo, N.Y. passed away on October 6, 2018, after fighting a brief battle with cancer.
Allen was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on December 5, 1963, to Kenneth and Marie Kligerman of Cairo, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife Jodie Kligerman, his parents, his children Kenneth Kligerman, Mercedes Kligerman, Samantha Beatty, and Angelena Beatty, and two grandchildren Kenneth Donald Kligerman and Pharris Fogler.
Allen is a graduate of Cairo Durham High School, class of 1981 and started repairing cars in his father’s garage. Upon his father’s retirement, Allen took over the family’s auto body repair shop.
Allen was passionate about motor vehicles and loved building hot rods. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling and boating in the summer. Allen was a huge dog lover and he loved his pit bulls. His greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. Allen was never too busy to help those in need and expect nothing in return.
Allen, and The Kligerman family would like to extend their utmost appreciation to The Hospice at St. Peter’s Inn in Albany for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y. on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00P.M.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12,2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Anthony Saturnino of The New Day Fellowship Church in Cairo, officiating.
