ALBANY — Albany Patroons head coach Derrick Rowland announced this week the signing of former Siena great and third All-Time leading scorer Edwin Ubiles to a first-year contract with the Pats of North American Premiere Basketball.

With Siena, the Poughkeepsie native scored 1,939 career points (14.8 per game).

In addition to his stellar career with the Saints from 2006–10, Ubiles was also the MVP of the NBA Development League in 2012 and spent time with the Washington Wizards in the NBA.

“As one of the best shooting guards in Division I during his years as a member of the Siena Saints, Edwin will bring the Patroons the depth that we need to bring a championship trophy to Albany in our first season in the NAPB,” Rowland said. “I couldn’t be happier that after crossing the nation trying out scores of great athletes, I am able to sign this great Capital District Legend to our team.”

Ubiles will join 23 other players from across the country in a training camp to be held at the Washington Avenue Armory from Saturday to Sunday this week, 9 a.m. – noon and 4–6:30 p.m. each day.

Season Tickets starting at $99 for the 16 home games, game day tickets, and the Dec. 21 Green and Gold Game, as well as gift certificates can be purchased on line at
