ALBANY — Theater Voices will present a staged reading of “The Subject Was Roses,” Frank D. Gilroy’s award-winning play about an idealistic young soldier who returns home to discover that he’s left the battlefields of Europe only to become a prisoner of his parents’ war of regret and recrimination. Directed by Brian Sheldon, performances will be held on Friday, April 12 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 13 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, April 14 at 3 p.m. All performances are at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany. Admission is free.
