‘A Byzantine CHhristmas’ a concert of Byzantine chant and Greek carols

ALBANY — St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church is excited to celebrate the holiday season with “A Byzantine Christmas” a concert of Byzantine Christmas and New Year’s chants and kalanda, or carols, for from various parts of Greece, Asia Minor, and the Greek islands.

The concert will be presented in the St. Sophia sanctuary at 440 Whitehall Road, Albany on Saturday, December 16th at 4 p.m. Psaltikon will perform Medieval and Modern Byzantine chants and be joined by an ensemble of acclaimed world musicians.
